The Flu...

Well, today we are going to talk about the flu (eww),and anyway this blog is gonna be really short, because the other blog that I was making got deleted so Mr. Sellers said I could do a short one (just gonna stick to the basics). So the flu is cause by the influenza virus, and it is also contagious. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times it can also lead to death depending on how severe it is (ahhhhhhh). So, that means if I ever get the flu I can die (but i am only in the 5th grade I haven't even lived life fully). But, anyway the best way you can prevent getting the flu is getting a flu vaccine.

Here are some symptoms of the flu:

• fever
• cough
• sore throat
• runny nose
• muscle or body aches
• headaches
• fatigue (very tired)
• Some people may have vomiting and diarrhea, though this is more common in children than adults.

Most people can spread the flu by holding hands, coughing on someone else, sneezing, or talking. I know you guys talk to other people and all, but don't do the following; sneeze on others, cough on others, or hold hands.

TEAR....... This is a goodbye blog, The was the best year EVER, and my last year. I hope I come back in the eighth grade....... or just stay ( I don't have a problem with that).

 

The Best School Ever!!!

Although we have had our arguments (that were pointless), and our fun times (that were awsome). This is still and awsome school. Oh ya, the last blog I was supposed to make was supposed to be about the flu, but Blogger was doing some work and they deleted my blog(ugg). Now, I can't teach you guys/girls anything. But, I really don't want to leave this school. Mr. Sellers at my new school could you still give me a topic and I could write about it?(please).

CHICKEN POX........

   So some of you guys might know I was sick on the last blog and then at the last minute my dad decides he wants to take me to the doctor, WHEN I GOT OVER THE COLD!!!! As you guys might know, my dad is KINDA slow.


   Anyways, today we are going to talk about Chicken Pox. It might not sound very delightful to learn about but, don't you want me to get a good grade. 


   The basic thing about Chicken Pox is that the itches A LOT. Chicken Pox is caused by the varicella-zoster virus or (VZV). It is kinda weird but it's more common for children to get it than adults. The reason why is because, the child's body is not immune to the virus so it can't fight off the virus. If you get the disease when you are a child your body will become immune to the virus so when you become an adult your body will recognize the virus and kill it. 


Vaccines are really helpful. The vaccine that you get gives you little tiny viruses (that are not harmful) of many kinds so your immune system can become immune to them.


         




Some viruses can be Contagious which means the virus can spread to other people that you are around easily.

The chicken pox has an Incubation Period which is a period of time before the symptoms appear, which is 10 to 21 days.


In the incubation period the symptoms don't appear. Symptoms are when you see the marks or signs of the disease. 


Immunity is when your immune system is able to recognize the virus and kill it before it has the ability to do some damage to your body.


A Virus non-living thing that can make you very sick.


Blisters are vesicles on the skin containing watery matter or serum.


When you have the chicken pox you shouldn't use aspirin because it can cause delirium, severe vomiting, convulsions, or a coma. To relieve the itchiness you should take bath in uncooked oatmeal, baking soda, or cornstarch.

   Now just make sure you don't get the chicken pox because it is not fun. But, the good thing about it is that your body is immune to it. I once had chicken pox when I was little IT WASN'T FUN!!!

 Two days before the Science Fair:

My science fair topic is due in two days, I wonder what am going to do? Maybe, I should build a rocket...... No. I should rust pennies...........no. Aha I got it I am going to see if Chemical Lightening Affects the Structure of Hair (got it). But, wait how am I supposed to do this?

• First, I need the materials
• Second, I need the procedure ( and for all of my peeps who don't know what procedure means umm.......... look it up)
• Third, I need my Hypothesis, Conclusion, Purpose, Research, and last but not least my Data.
•  ( but first I need to figure out what Hypothesis means)

So what to do now is get the materials from this website that I used. Then my procedure and then........ wait haven't we already gone through this. 


What I have to do now is print my hypothesis, my procedure, purpose, and graph. But, I am not done yet I have to put everything on the Trifold Poster Board...... Yay (not). 

                          The day that is due:

Oh, my gosh it's due TODAY!!!! I sure do hope that the judges aren't as mean as they were last year. They were so rude they'd be looking at other person's (like Dr. Spaulding says) poster. 


      About to present my Science Fair Project:


Oh, my gosh they look so nice this year (nicer than the people last year). But, I am waiting on Evan Gossett to get done presenting his project. I am so nerves wish me LUCK!!!!!! 

    The Ceremony:

Right now we are helping Mr. Sellers set up for the Ceremony. I am so nerves..........(mutter mumble). Okay the ceremony is about to begin (Oh my gosh). 

This year they are going to group them into categories; Environmental, Biology, and Physical Mr. Sellers said. 


I am in the Biology category. So they are calling the people up.


 First up for Honorable Mention is Shelby Smith (yay), Next up for third place is Anabel Prince (yay), for second place is Aubrey Izurieta (yay), and first place goes to (drum roll)............. Taylor Green. 


I was like oh my gosh ( i didn't do that good). But, my mom was embarrassing me so much, because she was smiling and yelling go Taylor.......................... and I was so embarrassed. (UGGG)

AHHH!!!!!! O my gosh women get off of me!!!!! SHE IS TRYING TO TAKE BLOOD FROM ME!!!! Stop it you DO NOT listen.......... AT ALL!!!! UGGG!!! She is such a luntic. Mom why do I have to give blood!!





Because many people out there need blood. There is other people in this world. Stop being stubborn. Fine, but what blood type do I have? I think you are a B+. O, well the most common blood type is O+ and then the second most common is A+. The reason why I had to give blood was because many are in need for blood. Some people lose a lot of blood so they get blood that has been donated. But, you always have to make sure that you have the same blood as the one given to you. Or else you can die.

But, after this women gets off of me (wink, wink) I think it is going to clot. The platelets are the things that stop the blood from coming out so it clots. So, if you get a cut the platelets come and take over, so you won't lose too much blood.






Red blood cells are the blood cells that carry oxygen to the other parts of the body. White blood cells are the cells that take the viruses out of your body. So I hoped you guys learned something in this blogg. Mom get out of my blogg plz.

Huh? I wonder why people think the hearts are so romantic on Valentines Day?!? I mean look at that thing........ LOOK AT IT!!!! Well, first the heart is the strongest muscle in your whole entire body. Your heart is a working beating muscle. It never gets tired. These are the parts of the heart that we are going to talk about are the atrium, the septum, the ventricle, and the valves. 

The Atrium:

The atrium is the part of the heart that brings in the blood. In the atrium

The Septum:

The septum are the tissues in your heart that separates the left and the right sides

The Right Ventricle:

The right ventricle gets blood from the right atrium. It get the blood that needs more oxygen.

The Left Ventricle:
The left ventricle has the blood that has already got oxygen from the lungs, and it is being sent out to the rest of the body.

Bum Bum Bum Bum Bum.... oh no an arrow is going trough my heart.

Whatever, people think The Big Bang that the all of the galaxies and junk were created by this big explosion called the Big Bang theory. Personally I think the aliens created this beautifulsolar system.

I Taylor Green think that God created the universe and errithang. But I am not gonna get into religion and all of that stuff.

Well I am doing this blog Taylor...... so anyways the Big Bang theory started in a singularity, which is a big ball of everything that is in space. The planets are still expanding or moving away from each other from the energy of the Big Bang.
